Charles Parker

Service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel with Rev. Don Clement officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens Mausoleum.

Charles was born July 6, 1924 in Enfield, North Carolina. He served in the military in the USAF during WWII, 8th AF 2nd Division 787 Squadron and was a Staff Sergeant.

He graduated from Wake Forest University and worked for the Federal Government as a loan officer with FHA.

Charles was married to Doris Blair Parker for fifty-seven years and loved football, golf and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, John and Samuel Parker; sister, Catherine Parker Rothrock, and nephew Kenneth Lynch.

She is survived by his wife, Doris Parker; son, Charles F. Parker, Jr. and wife Patricia of Summerfield; grandchildren, Thomas Parker, Nicholas Parker and Jarrod Howe; nephew, Michael Lynch; niece, Susan Halford; and sister, Nell Parker Shore of Raleigh.

The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon.
