
Charles J. Robinson, a beloved resident of Burnsville, North Carolina, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on October 24, 1936, in Burnsville, North Carolina, Charles lived a life marked by dedication and service.
In his early years, Charles was born and raised in Burnsville, NC. He later served as a proud veteran of the US Marines, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Charles was a long-time resident of Greensboro and was the owner of M&M Barber Shop. He was known for his passion for wood turning and his enthusiasm for Wake Forest sports, especially basketball.
Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Jean Robinson; his brothers, Harold and Kermit Robinson, and his sister Libby Wittkopf. He is survived by his son, Mark Robinson, and his wife Tristan, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandson, William Robinson; and other family members, Jackie Johnson, Jim Le, and Jason Le.
A graveside service will be held at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, located at 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro, NC 27410, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
The family asks with gratitude that memorials in Charles's name be made to the Women's Resource Center of Greensboro, 628 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
