Mr. Christopher "Chris" Thomas Culbreth

Mr. Christopher Thomas Culbreth, 49, was born October 8, 1976, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and passed away July 26, 2026. He was a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. Christopher will be remembered for being a bright, creative spirit, with an easy warmth that drew others in—someone whose humor and free-spirited nature could lighten a room and whose outgoing way made connection feel natural.

Chris was an artist and found joy in the things that let imagination take shape—drawing, music, video games, and game art design. In these interests, his playful energy and originality were evident, reflecting a life lived with curiosity, laughter, and a genuine love of what delighted him. He also treasured time with his dog, Puma, a companion who held a special place in his daily life.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Culbreth.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dixie Culbreth of Stokesdale; his brother, Jacob Culbreth of Browns Summit; nephews, Jacob and Weston Culbreth, and God mother, Sandy Stewart. He will be missed by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial Service will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Service, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, on August 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Family and friends will be received immediately following the service.

With gratitude, the family requests that memorials in Chris’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
