

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Street Chapel, with Dr. Steve Pressley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Clarence was born August 16, 1922 in Rockingham County to the late David and Louvenia Martin. He was member of First Baptist Church. Clarence retired from Dixie Sales after 17 years of service. He later worked for Auto Trends until the age of 88. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Elk, and Shriner. Clarence was a member of the Independent Garage Owners.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, and two sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Bee Martin; daughter, Anna Stockert (Andy) of Youngsville NC; sons, Richard Martin of Greensboro, and Greg Martin (Cindy) of High Point; grandchildren, Leigh Moore (Mark), Ashley Martin, Lauren Martin (Ronnie), Natalie Martin, Donnie Slate, Michelle Deane (Rob), and Brian Stockert (Dawn); great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Moore, Hunter Moore, Cayden Martin, Mason Beardslee; Jinifer, Justin, Alyssa and Faith Deane; and very special friends, Polly Garrison, Sherry Hill and the staff at Auto Trends.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Street Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 1000 W.
