Clyde was quite a character, as anyone who knew him would acknowledge. Always making the best of any situation. Glad he was my uncle! Sorry he is no longer here, but is in a better place now. My condolences to the family.

I am Mary Little, Clyde’s sister. Clyde was 18 months older than me.We enjoyed
playing with each other when we were growing up, and we had a good relationship throughout the years. He was kind and generous. He always had a story to tell. I miss you, Clyde, but I know you are in a better place with all of our
family and friends who are in heaven.

Clyde was my first manager when I worked in Greensboro. We kept in touch when I would be in Greensboro and he was still working. He was a kind, considerate and understanding person and I looked up to him as a mentor as he directed my career. Rest in peace, my dear friend, you will always be remembered.

Uncle Clyde is probably one of the friendliest I’ve ever known. Famous for his expression “well, gooooood night”! Always talking, always in a good mood spreading the Mitchell cheer. He will be missed!

Clyde was one of a kind. Always outgoing, positive, full of life, wanting to share stories and making us feel special. After I lost my Pop Pop, Clyde stepped in and did much to fill that role for me during our visits to Greensboro. Love him, love the Mitchell family, and although I will miss him I am comforted knowing he lives and is in heaven!

I’m going to really miss Clyde. We had a special bond because we shared the same birthday! I will always remember his smile and his good disposition! He was always willing to tell you stories about his time spent in the Philippines during WWII. I have so many wonderful memories of Clyde and I guess my favorite is his duet with my Dad singing the Carolina Fight Song. Now Clyde is singing with the angels. I love you Clyde!
Rest In Peace with the Mitchell clan!

Such a kind and wonderful person. He had the sweetest smile. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Clyde and Beanie by way of Joyce and Spencer through the years. We will miss you much. Love, Janet Haney

My heart is so sad knowing that I won't see or spend time with Clyde anymore on this earthly plane. But I couldn't be more grateful for the years I had with him. Clyde was truly one in a million. His smile and stories lit up a room and made you feel like you never wanted to leave his side. The joy and love that he showed will never be forgotten. We share so many special memories with the bunnies that he loved so very much. I hope and pray that he is holding one right now, as the french horns are sounding in the background! Fly high Clyde and I hope to see you again on the other side. Love, Christi (the Bunny Lady)
