Connie M. Dixon

Connie, born on December 14, 1937, was the daughter of Luther Clayton McCaskill and Donnie “Bell” McCaskill. Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Connie worked in the medical field for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse after graduating from City Memorial Hospital Nursing School in Winston Salem in 1959. Connie enjoyed living in the Clemmons community where she resided for over 50 years. Connie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was an avid gardener and animal lover. She will be so very deeply missed by all who knew her.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert “Ned” Dixon and brothers, Albert and Lawrence McCaskill. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Kelley Canter and husband Ken of Greensboro, NC; granddaughters, Sarah Lopatka and husband Brian of Greensboro, NC and Olivia Canter of Winston-Salem, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret McCaskill (wife of Lawrence) of Thomasville, NC; nephew, Scott McCaskill and wife Crystal of Thomasville, NC.

Services to honor her life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive family and friends following the service at the church. Graveside service will follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clemmons, NC.

Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro is assisting the Dixon family.
