On the afternoon of November 9, 2012, Cora Lee Vaughn Cantrell, 88, peacefully transitioned from this life to the next in the privacy of her home, surrounded by those she loved. The sole surviving daughter of William Arthur Vaughn and Emily Elizabeth Howell Vaughn, she was born in Greenville, S.C. on December 11, 1923. Although she currently resided in High Point, N.C., Greenville, S.C. was where her heart remained. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ralph Henry Cantrell, as well as three brothers, TC Vaughn, Red Vaughn, Roy Vaughn and one sister, Catherine Cox. She is survived by her son, Randall Ralph Cantrell and wife Lisa; daughter, Dale Lee Cantrell; granddaughters, Emlee Cantrell Cuevas and husband Rick, Aimee Cantrell Hyatt and husband Bob and great grandchildren, Lucas and Sofia Cuevas. Cora was a lifelong loving, loyal and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Her presence in the lives of her family is irreplaceable.
