A native of Greensboro, Day was born on June 27, 1997. He spent most of his high school years at Southern Guilford High School before graduating from Grimsley High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships that remained important to him throughout his life. During high school, Day was a wrestler and remained passionate about fitness and staying active throughout his life.
Day was preceded in death by his beloved Pawpaw, Eric Englestad.
Day is survived by his son, Eric Knight Harden; his mother, Amber Lea Kulick (Dustin Dixon); his twin sister, Victoria Dupree Harden; his Mawmaw, Donna Englestad; his aunt, Autumn Englestad; his cousins, Wesley “Wes” Reid and Kierra Reid; his great-grandmother, Eva Heindorf; his bonus brother, Jackson Dixon; his half-sister, Demetria Smith Harden; and his father, Damion Harden, Sr.
Day was known for his infectious smile, quick sense of humor, and the energy he brought everywhere he went. He had a way of making people laugh, feel welcome, and feel loved. Whether you knew him since childhood or had only recently crossed paths with him, Day was someone who left a lasting impression.
He loved music, both listening to it and creating it, and had a strong love for podcasts, almost always having an AirPod in his ear listening to something new. He had been a devoted Green Bay Packers fan since he was a little boy and loved fishing, golf, shooting pool, running, working out, spending time at the beach, and being near the water. Day also had a love for Vans shoes so strong that he even had one tattooed on his leg. One of his favorite memories was playing chess with his Pawpaw.
More than anything, Day loved deeply. His son, Eric, was the center of his world, and the bond he shared with his mother, Amber, and his twin sister, Victoria, was truly unbreakable. He was fiercely loyal to the people he loved and built friendships that became family, many of which remained just as strong no matter how much time had passed or how long it had been since they had last spoken. He shared especially close bonds with many lifelong friends he considered brothers, especially Christopher Roark.
Day was also a proud and loving “Uncle Day” to Kédan, LaKaya, Kingston, and Marlee, who brought so much joy to his life.
Recently, Day had been focused on getting healthy, proudly joking about losing his “dad bod.” That was who Day was. He could always make people laugh while working hard toward something important to him.
Day will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness, his huge heart, and the light he brought into the lives of so many people. The overwhelming love being shared in his memory is a true reflection of the impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian.
Following the interment, friends and family are welcome to gather at the home of Donna Englestad, located at 4338 Folger Rd., Julian, NC 27283.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the GoFundMe established in Day’s memory to support his son, Eric. Funds raised will be placed into a trust for Eric’s future.
