I met Danielle while coming to visit my best friend which is her Aunt Robin during the summer of 99. We had so much fun together. She was a sweet person and had a great spirit with a beautiful smile. Rest in peace beautiful angel.

Dawn…..I can relate to how you feel as I lost my son and only child Julian over 2 years ago. The pain is unreal. Lean on the Lord for comfort, endurance, guidance, strength and understanding.

To my dear friend, my very BEST friend EVER in this life...I love you. The pain is unreal knowing we won't get the chance to see each other again while here on earth. God chose to put us together during some of our most precious years and for that I am very thankful. Time, life, and distance got the best of us over the years, but the memories we created will never fade. That's what I'll forever cherish and hold on to. I mean we really did make up our own version of Spanish lol. Who does that ? Just making up words sounding absolutely crazy 🤣. And how many times could we have watched the Selena movie? Over and over again having the exact same reaction of crying and going off!  because why would you do that Yolanda?? Let's not forget Purple Rain cause whew chile you really loved  you some Prince. Thank you for being my Guinea pig letting me try different hairstyles on you. The flat twists was your  Fav and made for a very bomb twist out. And if anyone knows, baby you were NOT going to miss a nail appointment! Nails had to be on point .  Salmon cakes and potatoes was your signature dish. I never got tired of eating it because  you loved to cook it. The list goes on. Ahhh we had an insane amount of Inside jokes only we could understand. There was rarely a dull moment or dry eye between us from either laughing so hard or crying out our frustrations. When I moved from Carolina to GA for college we literally sat on the floor of the closet in my "dorm room" and balled crying. Hugging one another tight knowing we had to part. This truly feels like that moment again only I can't hug you. I only wish we could have made more of those memories in our adulthood. 

To Miss Dawn,  thank you for giving me a sister. I grew up with all boys... she was the sister I never had. Thank you for caring for us and putting up with us lol. To her husband and children my heart and support are with you. My condolences and prayers are with the enire the entire family.

Danielle - We met exactly 20 years ago friend, at what was Cingular Wireless and immediately became friends! Although life had taken us in many different directions, we have remained connected. 2016 is the Year of when I met Danielle for the very first time. It’s was Kindergarten year for our daughters. They were in the same class. The first week of school my daughter would come home every day talking about her new friend Nila. They quickly became the best of friends. Which led into Danielle and I meeting. Little did we know, we actually both lived in the same neighborhood across the street from each other. We also quickly developed a strong friendship. Danielle not only became my friend but one of my Best Friends. Our 2 families quickly bonded. We ended up moving out of the neighborhood about 10 mins away and it felt like I moved hours away. A short time later they ended up moving right down the street from us. As the kids got older and schedules got hectic with sports and everything else. It was harder to hang out like we used to. But when we did have some down time and not much going on. We picked up right where we left off. She was my rock , the one I called and told every thing to, the one I called that always either answered or called me right back. Time is a thief. I wish I could go back and call her more and visit more. But at the end of the day Danielle knew how much her friendship meant to me and I know how much it meant to her. I will forever Cherish every memory, every conversation , every trip To Wal-Mart /Target or as she called it “Rippin & Runnin” with her. We referred to ourselves as Thelma and Louise. Danielle was all about family. She was a genuine person with a heart of gold. My kids adored her and even gave her a nick name “Aunt Dani-Yale”. God put her in my life for a reason and I will forever be grateful for him allowing our paths to cross 10 years ago. My family is praying and asking God to wrap his arms around Danielle’s entire family.

My heart is truly broken.

Just a few months ago, we talked about how you had been doing, caught up on life, and, as always, talked about the kids. I remember telling you how much I missed you and how badly I wanted to see you. I hate that we never got to have our official pho date. I was so excited for you to try it, and I loved that you were looking forward on how to build the bowl.

I met you back in 2011 when we were both working at Citi. We sat behind each other, and before long, we became close friends. Soon after, I had the privilege of meeting your beautiful baby girl, Nila, and from that moment on, our friendship only continued to grow.

You played such a significant role in my adult life. I truly wouldn’t be where I am in my career today if it weren’t for you referring me to this job. Over the years, I also had the joy of getting to know Lamont and then welcoming your handsome baby boy, Junior, into the world.

Friend, I’ll be honest, I know people say we’re not supposed to question God, but I’m struggling with this. I am truly not okay. You were such an important part of my life, and it’s been a very long time since I’ve lost someone whose presence meant this much to me.

I will forever cherish the memories we made together the conversations at work, the conversations about life, the laughter we shared, and, most importantly, our friendship.

While my heart aches, I find comfort knowing you’re finally at peace, free from pain, and reunited with Meisha once again. Rest easy, my beautiful friend. We will do everything we can to make sure Nila and Junior know how deeply they are loved and supported.

To the Daye, Nilen, and Roseborough families, please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I pray that God surrounds each of you with strength, comfort, healing, and peace during this incredibly difficult time.

There are simply no words that can truly ease the pain of losing a child, but I want you to know that my heart is with you during this unimaginable time.

I remember Danielle as a little girl and especially  when she would come and play with my son. I can still picture her at his birthday party with that feisty little personality that made everyone smile. Even then, it was easy to see that she had a special spark.

Over the years, I had the privilege of watching Danielle grow into a beautiful young woman and an amazing mother to her precious children. She carried so much love, strength, and joy, and it was evident that she was the light of your life. She shared your beautiful spirit, your kind heart, and that unforgettable, infectious laugh that always reminded me so much of you.

Dawn, my best friend, I love you more than words can express, and I want you to know that you will never have to walk through this journey alone. I will always be here for you, to listen, to cry with you, to pray with you.

May God wrap His loving arms around you and your family, bringing you comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead. And may your precious angel, Danielle, rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus until that glorious day when you are reunited again.
