A celebration of David’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm in the Lineberry Center, 515 North Elm Street, with Pastor Drew Dalton officiating.
David was born September 4, 1963, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late George Anthony and Flora Mae LaCoste Reynolds. He graduated in 1984 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in accounting and finance followed by a Master in Business Administration and a CPA accreditation. Growing up, David enjoyed spending time on the water, especially fishing with his brothers. He found a love for aviation as he spent countless hours with his Dad as they hand-built a custom Corbin Baby Ace and David became a solo pilot. His mom instilled compassion into David’s soul as she raised him and his brothers in the church and taught him the way of the Lord.
David had an incredible sense of humor and was always the first one to lend a hand and the last to leave. He was a master of anything he put his mind to including music, art, and even became a self-made Cajun chef. David was a compassionate family man and animal lover. As a proud husband, father, Pop Pop, and friend, David loved unconditionally without expectation and lived his life selflessly devoted to helping others and making them smile. His sacrifice and generosity will be felt by his family and friends forever.
If love alone could heal the hurt it would already be done.
David is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Bradley David and his girlfriend, Jordan Dravis, John Anthony, his wife, Maria and granddaughter Winnie Mae, Neill Carter and his fiancée, Molly Burns, Nicole LaCoste and her fiancé, Ferraud Avery; his brother, George Anthony and his wife, Alison and twin Warren Sheldon and his wife, Rita. Also surviving are many special nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Monday at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of David, you may show remembrance by paying it forward and taking care of your fellow man in need.
