Deanna Avery, 88, of Browns Summit, North Carolina passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. Deanna was born on May 7, 1938, in Roanoke Va, daughter of the late William and Thelma Barksdale.
She grew up on a farm, enjoyed working in her flowers and loved sewing. Deanna was detail oriented, involved in mission work at Reedy Fork Baptist Church and was a member of a sewing club which brought her great joy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Billy Barksdale, Calvin Barksdale and her sister Nadine Sublette.
She is survived by her husband Dale Avery, two sons; Bryan Coe (Renee), David Coe, grandchildren; Samantha Coe, Jessica Coe, Krystal Newby, Allen Coe and brother Lewis Barksdale.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, July 26, 2026, Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
