Delbert Gordon

Delbert Gordon, 94, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Wednesday January 19, 2022. He was born September 12, 1927 in Greensboro the son of the late James Ellis and Lela Phillips Gordon. He was a retired staff representative for the Communication Workers of America. Delbert served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled woodworker. A loving husband, Delbert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie Summers Gordon; two daughters, Marilyn Wood and husband Bob of Anna Maria, FL, Joanna Heatwole and husband Owen of Lakeland, FL; one son, Phillip Gordon of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews that he shared great relationships with and his loving Bassett Hound companion, Stella. A special thank you is expressed to Bill Fowler and Mike Hardeman for their support, help and care for Delbert. No services are planned at this time.
