Dennis Stephen Busick of Foxfire, NC, formerly of Kernersville, NC passed away Saturday May 24, 2025 at the age of 77. He was the youngest of three sons born to Burton Flagg Busick and Gladys Garner Busick. He grew up in Greensboro, NC, graduating from Page High School in 1965 where he was a valuable member of the swim team. He then went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force for which he received multiple awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal for his time served in Vietnam. He was proud to complete his bachelor's degree at UNCG with all his children in attendance to cheer him on in 1992. Dennis had a love of cars and was known for his gift of identifying any make and model with ease. It was fitting that he earned his living in auto sales and management throughout the years. His passion was selling Cadillacs at Bill Black Cadillac in Greensboro for much of his career while enjoying his final years as a top salesman at Crossroads Ford in Kernersville. He ended his career in 2010 with great excitement as he volunteered to be a stay-at-home grandpa to his oldest granddaughter. He spent twenty years as a dedicated church member of Main Street UMC in Kernersville where he enjoyed facilitating several adult Disciple classes, and particularly enjoyed leading the first youth Disciple class. He also enjoyed teaching the Cornerstone Sunday School class and serving at the introduction of the Bethany Cafe meal ministry during his years at Main Street UMC. Dennis enjoyed his retirement years maintaining a beautifully landscaped yard and completing home improvement projects.
Dennis blessed those who knew him with his servant's heart, dedicating his life to God, country, and his precious family of which he was most proud. He is survived by his best friend and cherished wife of 43 years, Judith Johnson Busick of Foxfire. He is also survived by his three children, Tracy Busick Warner and husband Michael of Pfafftown, Johnson Busick of Murphy, and Meredith Busick Massenburg and husband Gregg of Pleasant Garden. He leaves a profound legacy of love to his five grandchildren, Christopher Warner, Julynne Busick, Denni Jo Massenburg, Ridge Massenburg, and Charis Massenburg.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, May 30, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM at Hanes-Lineberry N Elm Chapel, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 O'Henry Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27405.
