Donald Ervin Faircloth

A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401. The family will receive friends and loved ones following the service at the funeral home.

Donald was born in Greensboro, NC on February 23, 1935, to the late John Daly Faircloth and Violet Richarson Faircloth. He was a member of Florida Street Baptist Church for 72 years. He worked in the furniture manufacturing industry for most of his life and took great joy in his trade. Donald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, John Kevin Faircloth and Jeffrey Lee Faircloth.

Those left to cherish his memory include his adoring wife of 72 years, Jean Griggs Faircloth; his grandchildren, Ashley Faircloth Sloan and Ethan Lee Faircloth; his great-grandson, Brody Dean Patton; and other extended family and friends.

Donald’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and his generous spirit.
