Don Loeber is at ease. He was 94 when his life came to a close on Thursday, November 28 at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale. When asked about how his life might be recalled, Don hoped that folks would remember him as a good husband, a good father and a good friend. Friends and family alike will also remember him as a much better than good hugger.
A veteran of both WW II and the Korean War, he was predeceased by his wife Edie. He is survived by children, Don Jr. (Mayra), Chris, Sandy, Jon and Scott; grandchildren, Mandy, Don III, Teddy, Katie, Allison and Kris.
A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Sedgefield officiated by Father Warren Pittman. The family will greet friends following the service.
His family is forever grateful for the wonderful care given to both Edie and Don by the caring staff at Countryside Manor. Memorials would be appreciated at Countryside Manor, 7700 US Hwy 158, Stokesdale, NC 27357 or to All Saints Episcopal Church, 4211 Wayne Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
