Donald Stewart McClellan

Donald Stewart McClellan passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the age of 71. Born July 14, 1953, he was the son of the late T.L. (Mac) and Sue McClellan. He was a lifelong resident of Greensboro. He graduated from Page High School, attended Montreat College and a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.Don served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Oklahoma City.

Don's career consisted of several positions in Human resources including Piedmont Associated Industries and American Express.Later in Life he owned a Landscape Company, Solid Rock Landscape.

Don loved his family and took great pleasure in their many trips to Oak Island. He loved participating in sports and excelled in many, but his greatest joy and pride was attending each and every sports event his son played.For many years Don was a regular at the Y (YMCA). He established strong and enduring bonds of friendship with his Y buddies- exercising and praying.Don loved the Lord and was a mighty prayer warrior to everyone he met and he never met a stranger. Sharing God's love was the main focus in his life.

Don is survived by his wife Cathy, son Joshua Scott and his sister Sue McClellan Cooper.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 - 2:00 p.m. at FORGE Church-2116 McKnight Mill Road, Greensboro, NC 27405.
