Mrs. Kirby was a retired hospital administrative clerk and homemaker. She was a former member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and a member of First Baptist Church in Southern Pines.
There will be a graveside service, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Guilford Memorial Park for family followed by a celebration service and receiving of friends at 12:30 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The Grandchildren, Matthew Kirby, Jacob Kirby, Stephen Kirby, Glenn Kirby, Jon Kirby, James Van Tromp and Chris Formo will be pall bearers. Colonel Joel Jenkins will perform the service.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by her 3 children, Karen Baber, Robert Kirby and wife Belinda, Ron Kirby and wife Wanda, 8 grandchildren, and great grandchildren, brothers Bill King, Richard King, and sister, Cathe King.
