Doris Lanham Lovely

Doris was born March 9, 1935, in Ward, WV. The daughter of Lester and Myrtle Perry Lanham, Doris, was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores L. Bannister.

She is a graduate of East Bank High School in Cedar Grove, WV. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Doris retired from Specialty Car Company in Norcross, GA in 2000.

She is survived by her children, Karen O’Brien and husband John O’Brien, Jr. of Jamestown, NC, Kathy Lambert of Newnan, GA, Terri Snowder of Winder, GA, Lisa Nassal and husband Craig of Dacula, GA, Barbara Lovely of Lawrenceville, GA and Jeffery Lovely and wife Dana of Lilburn, GA; her sister, Barbara L. Rhodes and husband Chalmer of Glasgow, WV, brother-in-law, Dillon Bannister of Glasgow, WV; 10 grandchildren, John O'Brien, III, Melissa Harrison, Zackery Lambert, Sarah Fuller, Brandon Snowder, Haley Mewborn, Andrew Agnew, Matthew Agnew, David Nassal, Benjamin Nassal and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth Harrison, Ava Lambert, Millie Fuller and Will Fuller.

There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. A private family service in the chapel followed the visitation and inurnment in the Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
