Mrs. Doris "Granny" Wall

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Community Baptist Church with The Reverend J.R. Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed cooking for them. She also liked to garden and patrol her family neighborhood “compound” on her Gator. Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Claude L. Wall, their daughter, Jeanie Manring, 3 brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Wall is survived by her children; Carolyn Carroll of Greensboro, Polly Shoffner (Larry) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Lauran Wall of Greensboro, Henry Wall of Chatham County; special daughter-in-law, Sheila Wall of Greensboro; sisters, Betty Fields and Carrie Jones both of Greensboro; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granchild.
