

Dorothy May Osborne, 88, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her home. Dorothy was born on November 15, 1928 in Guilford County, the daughter of James M. and Virginia May Cagle Howard. Sr. She was a member of Bales Wesleyan Church and First Wesleyan Church in High Point. Dorothy spent her career in sales with Lakeview Memorial Park and Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro and then with Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point until her retirement. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan E. Osborne in 2007. Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Gail Evans; Diane Howdeshell and husband James, all of Jamestown, NC, Ed Osborne and wife Renee of Winston Salem, NC; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Howard Jr. and wife Lucy of High Point, NC, Donald Howard and wife Jo and sister, Anne Redman and husband Phil, all of Newport News, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 10:00 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with entombment to follow at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
