Ej, was a great friend to me more like a brother. The first day we met he had told me that I would good in his division. I asked him why, and if anyone knew EJ's sense of humor. He told me because I was so short in statue I could do surveillance standing up behind a fire hydrant and still not be seen. Over the years we became really close, he treated just like a real brother of his. I will miss him dearly❤❤

Rest In Peace my brother. Your job has been done. Thanks for all the good times. Love you brother always. Until we meet again.❤🙏

I had the privilege of growing up around E.J. as well as much of his family and he aided in myself growing into the person I am today. He was a wonderful friend and one of the best fathers there is to Stratton. From his giant personality, to his intoxicating laugh that filled the room, and no one will ever forget the way he would raise those eye brows if you tried to pull one over on him. He will live on in spirit with Strat. For every ball tossed, bat struck, or touchdown, he will be there with you.

EJ. "GHOST Barwick it is an honor to call you a Brother in Blue, a Partner most of all a Friend.
You defined Leadership, Code of Ethics, and what a Badge represents.
Will not question why you left us soo soon GOD only knows.
You may be gone but not forgotten.
Stand tall and be proud while you patrol those streets.
GHOST we LOVE you and miss you.
Goodbye my friend.
Oh I am still mad that you would not let me it the jail cell with him.
