Edgar "Bill" William Miller

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Rev. Rick LeBaube of Flat Rock United Methodist Church in Stokesdale will officiate. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.

Bill worked in the civil service for the government for many years. Mr. Miller was a WWII US Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a Mason for more than 55 years and was awarded the 33rd degree.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary Myrtle Miller. He is survived by his son, Edgar W. “Sonny” Miller, Jr. and wife Kay of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Edgar W. “Eddie” Miller, III and wife Corinna of Greensboro, NC, Robin W. Wolter and husband Tim of Huntersville, NC, David E. Miller of Huntersville, NC; great-grandchildren, Addison, McKenzie, Kayla, and Tyler Miller, Cade and Carson Wolter; and sister, Willie Mae Michalowsk.

Donations may be made to the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144 in memory of Bill.
