

Eleanor was born in Santa Fe, NM on April 4, 1933 to Robert and Helen Black Taylor. She studied Elementary Education at Utah State University in Logan, Utah where she met her future husband, Brian McDonald. She worked as a freelance watercolorist.
Eleanor was an active member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM for 40 years. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, as well as painting, traveling, sewing and reading.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian McDonald, her parents and her sister, Lucy Blackner.
Surviving family members are her children, Leslie Johnson, Laura Burkig and Gail Taylor; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church Fellowship Hall,1415 Neelley Rd, Pleasant Garden on Sunday, August 25 at 5:00. Please arrive for seating by 4:45. Parking and entry to the Fellowship Hall are on the back side of the church. Snacks and fellowship will follow.
A memorial service for Mrs. McDonald will also be held at 2:00 Sunday, September 22, 2024 with refreshments and fellowship at Forrest Meadows Baptist Church, 54 NM-217, Tijeras, NM 87059. At this time, the burial service is to be arranged on Monday, Sept 23rd, 2024. Further details will be announced.
