

Elizabeth K. Bringle, formerly of Greensboro, NC, died at River Landing at Sandy Ridge in Colfax, NC, on Saturday, January 25, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1929, in Fayetteville, NC, to Melda Kutz Harrison and Rupert Womble Harrison. She resided in Greensboro, NC, from 1957 to 2003, when she and her husband moved to River Landing.
K. Bringle, as she was known to friends and family, received a BS degree in Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa, from Duke University in 1950 and an MS in Home Economics with an emphasis in early child development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1976. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC, where she taught in the preschool division for more than thirty years. She also volunteered for many years at Gateway Education Center.
She is predeceased by her husband Emmett Watson Bringle of Covington, Tennessee, whom she married in 1950 and who died in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Mary Louise Bringle of Etowah, NC; her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Mack Hilliard of Jackson Springs, NC, and their family; her sister Mary Harrison Hall of Fayetteville, NC; and five nieces and their families.
A service of remembrance will be held at River Landing on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 2pm in the main Independent Living Lounge. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at the First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC. Hanes Lineberry Funeral Services is assisting with arrangements.
