

Elizabeth was born March 9th, 1937 in the Bronx, NY to Joseph and Katherine Finn. She moved as a young child to New Hyde Park, Long Island where she attended Holy Spirit grammar school and Sewanhaka High School where she learned cosmetology. Elizabeth worked as a beautician until the birth of their first child.
In 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence (Larry) at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and enjoyed 63 years of marriage.
They moved to Charlottesville, Virginia in 1966, and then to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1968 where their children attended St. Pius the Tenth Catholic School. There she volunteered as a sacristan, teacher's aide, and Cub Scout Leader.
Elizabeth was a long time member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where she also was a sacristan for many years.
She enjoyed playing tennis in her younger years, reading, decorating her home, and traveling the country and world.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Joseph.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Lawrence, sons, Lawrence III (Lena), Michael (Carmen), John (Gwen), and 9 grandchildren; Max, Finn, Everett (Sarah), lan, Nicolas (Vivian), Veronica, Therese, Magdalena, and Christine.
Elizabeth passed quietly at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren after a long illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, by Fr. James Duong. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Friends will be received Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
