Elizabeth Glass Kempton

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Westminster Gardens. The family will receive family and friends Saturday, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. Jeff McSwain of Durham, NC will lead the service.

Leb was born in South Hill, VA on May 29, 1943 to the late Henry Monroe Glass and Clarice McClendon Glass. She enjoyed dancing, beach music and being with family and friends.

Leb was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Harriette Glass Mast. She is survived by her son Jason Ware Kempton and wife Beth Overman Kempton of Charleston SC; companion of nineteen years, James Kenneth Ward and his daughter Laura Ann Ward; and special friend, John Ware Kempton.
