

She was born to the late James and Adelaide Coln Dunn in Richmond County, NC on July 27, 1935.
Libby is survived by her daughters; Marie Lemon Vinnefors (Mats) of Whitsett, NC, Elizabeth Carol Fenton of Greensboro, NC, son; Richard T. Lemon Jr. (Cathy) of Hamstead, NC; brothers; John Dunn (Joyce), Harold Dunn (Judy), Richard Dunn (Linda); sisters, Nancy Cue, Kathy Sweeney, grandchildren; Rylan W. Fenton and Isabella J. Lemon. She was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Bozeman.
Elizabeth was a graduate of the Hoffman High School Class of 1953 and King’s Business College where she obtained a degree in Business. After graduation Libby married “Dick” Lemon. Elizabeth spent years of her career as the supervisor of Davidson and Guilford County Health Departments. “Ms. Libby” as she was known to all the local kids, always had a welcoming home for candy and cakes. She was the true matriarch of the family after her father passed, earning her the name of “second mom” to all of her siblings. She had an avid love for the kitchen and loved to cook for her family, Libby really enjoyed cooking pound cakes and cooking from scratch all the family favorites. Gardening was a big hobby of Libby’s and she had a great love for flowers. Spending time with her family was Libby’s favorite pastime.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at Dunn Farm, 109 Dunn Rd., Ellerbe, NC 28338.
