Mrs. Elizabeth "Libby" Harvey Phillips

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Peace United Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips was born on October 15, 1933 to the late Hayes Henry and Effie Poston Harvey of Lexington, NC. She was employed by Stamey’s Barbecue for 38 years. Libby was a member of Peace United Church of Christ where her unselfish works will always be remembered. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, fabulous Mamaw, great-grandmother, and aunt to everyone else. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Phillips; two sisters; and a brother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Pam Thompson and her fiancé Donnie Harris; son, Kent Phillips and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Justin Houglan, Haley Roberts (Jimmy), Abby Thompson, Benjamin Phillips (Amanda), Jacob Phillips, Makayla Phillips; great-grandchildren, Taylor Houglan, Mari Ferree, Lyric Ferree, Grey Roberts, and Layla Zimmerman; five sisters; one brother, and countless other family members and friends.
