A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Westminster Gardens Cemetery with Father John officiating.
A native of Cincinnati, OH, Ellen was born January 18, 1933 to the late Joseph and Marie Brandewie. She worked as a teacher assistant until her retirement.
Mrs. MacKay was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy and Andrew MacKay. Surviving are her loving husband Brian E. MacKay, Sr.; sons Brian E. MacKay, Jr. and wife Marie of Oak Ridge and Michael MacKay of McLeansville; grandchildren, Matthew MacKay, Elizabeth MacKay Waldrop of Atlanta, GA and Melissa MacKay and Michelle MacKay of Oak Ridge; and three great grandchildren of Atlanta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guilford County Animal Shelter, or to the charity of one’s choice.
