Mrs. Elritta Willena Evans was the youngest of three children born to the union of the late William Henry Rudd and Nellie Mae Rudd. She peacefully made her transition into her eternal rest on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.
She was a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. Her childhood family church was Ebenezer Baptist Church (Greensboro). As an adult, she joined her husband in the ministry to become a member of Friendship Temple Apostolic Church (Greensboro).
Elritta (Rita) attended Sternberger Elementary School, Jackson Middle School and Grimsley Senior High School. She later obtained an Associate in Arts at GTCC (Guilford Technical Community College) and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Strayer University.
Her early years of employment began with TPI Restaurant Management Inc. and Gilbarco Inc. She later served 16 years as Customer Business Administrator and Assistant to the President for Senator USA (Senator Pen Corp). When the company relocated, she served for 9 years for Deluxe Corporation as Customer Service Representative.
Elritta illustrated the Christian life of strong faith. She was a loving person, a loyal friend and thoughtful soul. She was a God-fearing woman of great strength especially during her critical illnesses. Her beautiful smile was a constant reminder for all to see that her faith in God remains the foundation of her life. Being talented, versatile, faithful and diligent, she was able to touch many lives. She was good with numbers, loved ladybugs and was always climbing trees.

Also surviving is a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her sister, Mrs. Dianna L. Miller-Combo precedes her in death.
