

Erma was born on April 3, 1932 in Thomaston, GA to George and Ola Mae Long and had lived in Greensboro for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of True Light Baptist Church and former member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Erma was faithful to God and her family and her church. She loved shopping and going on trips with her daughter, Barbara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, RB Williams; her parents, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include daughters, Barbara Williams of the home, Martha Belton (Tommy) of Burlington, Sara King (Tommy) of Benson and son, Robert C Williams, Sr. (Linda) of Pleasant Garden; brother, George Long (Pat) of Greensboro; sister, Jeffie Farrar, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jody and Glen Beasley, Jeffrey King, Mathew King (Lorene), Kristie Walls (John), Robby Williams (Christina), David Williams (LeeAnne); great grandchildren, Mark, Justin, Erica, Carson, Caleb, Savanna, Joshua and Ava.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at True Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Cassady and Rev. Charles Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
