

Esther Apple Dean, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Hospice Home of High Point.
Funeral services will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Esther worked for many years for Dr. Richard Kelly and Dr. David Rubin. She was a loyal servant of the Lord, teaching Sunday school at Forest Avenue Tabernacle and later a dedicated prayer warrior at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel. Many joyful hours were spent reading her Bible. Her life was a shining example of her love for The Lord.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita Denny of Anchorage, Alaska and Sharon Andrews (husband Andy) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Lisa Gonzalez (husband Carlos), Hugh Denny (wife Julie), Marianna Blough (husband Chris), and Chris Andrews (wife Nicole); great-grandchildren, Hillari Denny, Brendon Denny, Baily Cantrell, Hunter Denny, Josh Humphrey, Michaela Gonzalez, Connor Denny, Duncan Blough, Adan Blough, and Caroline Andrews.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Dean; Parents, Grover and Sue Apple; siblings, Arthur Apple, Ruth Alton, and Homer Apple.
