Evelyn Marie Amos Hodgin, 69, a resident of Greensboro died Friday November 7, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Evelyn was born February 19, 1945 in Danville, VA the daughter of Charles Winfred and Juanita May Hatcher Amos. She retired from Guilford Mills after working there for over 30 years. She was of Baptist faith.
Evelyn was married to Josephsire Preston Hodgin, Jr. who preceded her in death on February 19, 2007.
She is survived by her two sisters, Arlene Amos Sharpe and husband John of Greensboro, Joyce Amos McIntyre of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Christina Myers and husband David of MA; brother-in-law, Van Hodgin of Shallotte and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Dr. Don Clement. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel.
