Faye Badgero passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Dec. 9, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born on Sept. 8, 1925 in Mabelle, Texas outside Seymour, Texas. She resided for the past seven years in Greensboro, North Carolina with her daughter, Judy Strawn. Faye attended Texas Christian University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. For more than 50 years she served as the pianist in churches including Hilltop Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
One highlight of her life was singing Handel’s Messiah with the Seminary Choir in Israel in the 1970s. She worked at Acme Brick Company for 11 years and was the Accounts Payable Supervisor with Tandy Corporation for 18 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jerry Badgero and wife Phyllis, Cookeville, Tennessee; daughter, Judy Strawn, wife of late husband Charles Strawn, Greensboro, North Carolina; Grandchildren Felicia, Lori, Cullen Strawn and wife Emily, Logan Strawn and wife Isabella, and Austin Strawn; great-grandchildren Joe, Hannah, Breanna, Natalie, Jason, Abigail, Hannah, Kaitlyn, and Ethan; and great-great-grandchildren David, Charlie James, and Nori.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park.
