Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 11:00 am at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant with Rev. Chris East officiating. A reception will follow after the service. A private interment will follow.
Floyd was born in Cabarrus County, NC to the late William Mason and Maggie Eudy Goodnight. He graduated from North Carolina State University in Electrical Engineering. Floyd retired from AT&T after more than thirty years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Floyd Edwin “Eddie” Goodnight, Jr.; Floyd is survived by his wife Millie Goodnight; daughter Melanie Goodnight Sulik and husband Dr. William Sulik; brother, Fred Goodnight and wife Judy of Dallas, TX; nephews, Greg and Michael Goodnight of Dallas, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 501 S. Mendenhall Street Greensboro, NC 27403 in Floyd’s memory, or to the charity of your choice.
