Mrs. Francenia "Frankie" Pollard

Mrs. Francenia “Frankie” Hamilton Pollard, 79, a resident of Greensboro passed away peacefully and entered the pearly gates of heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Frankie was born March 22, 1937 in Guilford County, the daughter of Robert Carroll Hamilton and Mary McCauley Hamilton. She was a graduate of Rankin High School and was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Co. after 42 years of employment.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, “Big” John Hamilton.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Glenn Pollard; five daughters, Cathy Levan Duke and husband Jerald of Summerfield, Lisa Levan Perdue and husband Alan of Greensboro, Tori Levan White and husband Ronnie of Greensboro, Tonya Raquel Pollard of Greensboro, Natalea Pollard Kelly and husband Andy of Summerfield; one son, Darrell Dwayne Levan and wife Tammy of McLeansville; three brothers, Charles Hamilton, Carlton Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton and wife Judy all of McLeansville; 16 grandchildren, Justin Duke, Dwayne Edmonson, Lindsay Townsend, Tyler Levan, Jordan Levan, Brittany Brown, Alexis Perdue, Brandon Hodges, Chris Hodges, Victoria Lovelace, Brianna Hopkins, Teagan Griffin, Dayton Welch, Grayson Kelly, Hudson Kelly and 17 great grandchildren, Rylee Duke, Khloe Duke, Honor Edmonson, Reign Edmonson, Darrell "Trey" Levan, Ahna Levan, Jaxon Levan, Kennedy Brown, Maddox Hodges, Brayden Hodges, Ava Hodges, Hayden Hodges, Liam Hodges, Brody Lovelace, Emmalyn Lovelace and Mason Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Barrett officiating. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time and at other times at the home of Lisa Levan Perdue.
