Frank Arthur Stewart

Frank served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era, carrying forward a steady sense of duty that remained evident throughout his life. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University.

Early on, Frank found his voice in radio—working as a radio announcer in Illinois and later in Statesville, North Carolina. He later built a career as a salesman for AFLAC Insurance, bringing to his work not only professionalism, but also the easy wit and playful teasing that so often put others at ease.

Frank is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Kelly Stewart, and their son, Davis Stewart, both of Greensboro; daughters Michelle Bennett of Jupiter, FL and Robin Thomas of Leander, TX; and grandchildren, Emma, Jared, Allie and Chris.

A man of faith and warm spirit, Frank enjoyed singing in the church choir and took genuine interest in researching genealogy, valuing the connections that bind families across generations. He was a member of Christ Church Greensboro.

A service to honor Frank's memory will be announced at a later date.

The family asks with gratitude that memorials in Frank’s name be made to Christ Church Greensboro, NC Presbyterian Pilgrimage or the the Parkinson Foundation.
