Frederick Curtis Collins (Kurt)

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel at 11:00 am. Family visitation will be immediately after the service.

Kurt was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Dr. Grover Cleveland Collins and Ann Yurevic Collins Hawkins. He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

My beloved brother, Frederick Curtis Collins, (Kurt) was a very special individual. I am not capable of expressing the impact he had on my life. I can say he modeled all the attributes that matter in this life including his abiding faith in our Savior, humility, compassion, dedication, discipline and unconditional love. I look forward to that special day when the two of us are reunited.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Theron Washington Hawkins. Kurt is survived by his sister, Chip Dalton and husband Troy of Georgetown, TX; brother, John Scott Collins and wife Jan of Greensboro; nephew, Shean Dalton and wife Francis of Round Rock, TX; great nephews, Jacob and Phillipe Dalton and great niece, Franchesca Dalton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bryan YMCA, 501 W. Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 in memory of Frederick Curtis Collins, (Kurt).
