With hearts broken beyond words, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Gabriel “Gabe” Sanchez, who entered the presence of Jesus on May 25, 2026, at the age of 8.
Gabe was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His smile could light up a room, his laughter was contagious, and his kind heart touched countless people. He loved spending time with his family, playing with his siblings and friends, and embracing life with the curiosity, joy, and wonder that made him so special.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Gabe filled every moment with love. He had a unique way of making others feel seen and loved, and his gentle spirit left an imprint on every heart he encountered.
Gabe was the cherished son of Luis and Paulette Sanchez, and a beloved brother, to Luis Sanchez Jr, Javier Sanchez, and Angel Sanchez. He was also a grandson to Regina Williams, great grandma Pearl McNeal, godson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was deeply loved by his family and aunts Pearl, Pamela and Pristina, church family, classmates, teammates, and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
While we grieve the unimaginable loss of our precious boy, we find comfort in God’s promises and the assurance that Gabe is now safe in the arms of Jesus. Though we cannot understand why his life was cut short, we hold tightly to the Faith that one day we will see him again.
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
Gabe leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, and precious memories that will be treasured forever.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro. A celebration of Gabe’s life will be held on June 8th at 11AM in the Lineberry Center at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O'Henry Boulevard, Greensboro. The family welcomes your prayers and asks for continued support during this difficult time.
