George William “Bill” Lane, 91, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023 in the Sedgefield Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, located at the same address.
Bill was born February 26, 1932 in Guilford County to the late George and Kathleen Lane. He was a self-employed Springmaker and was an avid Cyclist for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Lane.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Scott Lane (Vivian); grandchildren, Lindsay and Brandon (Chelsea); and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Brody.
