I loved my Grandfather, Papaw so much. Everyone that met him always told me he was the happiest person they ever knew. He was always smiling and singing or humming and his simple joy for life was infectious the moment you were with him. He loved the Lord, his family, and his church above all else and this was always evident through his words and his actions. I will never forget the night he sat with me as a very young child and and helped me to understand the importance of loving the Lord with all your heart and, together, we asked the Lord to come into my heart forever and I dedicated my life right then to God. Thank you Papaw, for guiding me through the most important step in my life. Thank you for being my Papaw.

Will miss sweet Jerry so much. He always greeted me with a smile and I always felt Christ's love in his life. We shared a love for UNC sports and I'll certainly think of him when it's game time. May God grant peace and comfort to all the family.
