I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Gerald when I moved to Kentucky for my senior year of high school, and became friends with Joel. The first time I was at the house, Gerry came out of the living room with a pipe in his mouth and a book in his other hand. He appeared so intellectual, and I knew I was about to encounter one of the great minds of our time. Every encounter after that was enlightening. I know right now there is a big hole in the Natkin family, but I know that in the passing days it will start to fill with all of the beautiful memories of Gerald when he was here with us.  Thinking of you all during this very difficult time.  Lots of love.
