Geraldine Lovings Young

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 23, 2012, at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Don Clement officiating.

Mrs. Young was born in Guilford County January 27, 1921 to the late Hugh Ernest Lovings, Sr. and Hallie Myrtle Younts Lovings. She traveled extensively for 38 years during her career with R.L. Polk & Co., as a field Superintendent. Geraldine enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to fish, cook, and working in her garden. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Henry Young; brothers, Hugh Ernest Lovings, Jr., Fred Lafayette Lovings, and Edward Reid Lovings; sisters, Iris Myrtle Lashley and Helen Beatrice Nelson.

Those left to cheish her memory include her brother Frank Nelson Lovings and his wife Kathleen; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the caregivers at Adams Farm Living and Rehab Center and to the staff at Moses Cone Hospital for their care and kindness.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 23, 2012 from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel, prior to the graveside service at 2:00 pm.
