Gladys Kathleen Pollard

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday February 23, 2025 at Community Baptist Church, 1330 Burnetts Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC, where Gladys was a member. The visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Greensboro is serving the Pollard family.

Gladys was born in Forsyth, Georgia on September 18, 1925, a daughter of the late William Jones and Neta Drake Jones. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Wesley Jones and James Wilson Jones.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Wicker, Connie Paschal and husband Jackie; sons, Jimmy Robbins, Travis Robbins and wife Alicia, Tim Robbins and wife Tammy, Dale Robbins and wife Deena; 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Gladys Jones Robbins Linons Pollard was an amazing woman. A “country girl” growing up with two tough brothers who she loved dearly. Suffering the loss of both, she asked God if she could just have a big family of her own. Mom taught us by example not to be lazy, but to work hard at all you do in life. Caring for her family, friends, and neighbors was her passion, along with her love for flowers and fruit trees. Through many physical trials, God always gave her fighting grace. We are grateful for all those who cared for her in the last months of her long journey of life. We, her children, have seen a mother’s love that we will never forget. Love you, Mom!
