

Our Father in Heaven chose to send a special angel to bring a very special child of the King to his heavenly home. Glenn W. Patterson passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Hospice Home of High Point.
He was born in Surry County, NC on October 9, 1922, the son of Jasper and Emma Jones Patterson who preceded him in death along with his seven siblings. Glenn served his country in the US Army during WW II and was in communications headquarters located in India. He retired from Univac/Unisys of Greensboro after thirty seven years of employment.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary Yarbrough Patterson of the home; step son, Ray Oakley of McLeansville, NC, Keith Patterson (Mary) of Reidsville NC; daughter, Sheila Drew (Thomas) of Rocky Mount, NC; step daughters, Fonda Spivey (Clayton) of High Point, NC, Shelley Snider (David) of Moore County, NC; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum with full military rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
