Griffin James Kelton

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Monsignor Anthony Marcaccio.

Griffin was born January 1, 1995 in Marietta, GA, the son of Sallie Davis Kelton and Kyle Kelton.

Griffin was a graduate of Grimsley High School where he was active in the lacrosse team, the drum line, played saxophone and was a lunch buddy. Currently Griffin was attending Queens University of Charlotte where he was on the track team and holds the hammer throw school record. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he was an altar server and active in the youth group and work camp for four years. Griffin enjoyed working out and had a great sense of humor.

Griffin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James C. Kelton.

Surviving are his parents of Greensboro; brothers, Davis and Samuel Kelton, both of Greensboro; paternal grandmother, Jane Jaggers Kelton of High Point; maternal grandparents, Samuel Edward Davis and Jean Wilson Davis of Elizabethtown, KY.

Friends will be received Sunday, 2:00-5:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel and following mass at the church on Monday.
