Hallie Hardy

Hallie Mena Davis Hardy, 96 passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1929, in Stanly County, NC, daughter of the late William and Mary Taylor Davis. Hallie was sincere, diligent, compassionate and a Faithful servant of the Lord.

She loved to sew for family and friends, graduated from New London High School in 1948, volunteered with Red Cross and Meals-on-wheels. Hallie was known as "Peaches" to her entire family. She was a member of Preston Oaks Baptist Church where she was a strong leader and committed to Gods work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Marshall Hardy, brothers: William A. Davis Jr. (Mary Frances), Lawrence Eugene Davis (Katy), Hubert Douglas Davis (Hattie), Calvin Theo Davis (Robbie) and sisters: Vivian Lorene Davis (James), Doris Delphine Davis (Gary).

She is survived by her daughter Velmena Faith Hardy Humble (Timmy), sons; Marshall Davis Hardy, Taylor Jennings Hardy, grandchildren: Nicholas, Kristin, great-grandchild Jayden and cherished nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life.

Memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.

Mother desired to be a donor, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff @ AuthoraCare and Good Samaritan's for their care of mother.
