Mr. Harold Butler Griffith, 70, a resident of Greensboro died Friday evening April 12, 2013. Mr. Griffith was born May 9, 1942 in High Point, the son of Henry W. and Beulah Hansel Griffith. He was a graduate of Bessemer High School and was the owner and operator of Griffith Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine “Cathy” Griffith of the home; two daughters, Lisa G. Clark and husband Randy of Staley, Michelle G. Mackay and husband Bruce of Pleasant Garden; his step-mother, Mary E. Griffith of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Laina M. Wright and husband Warrant Officer 1, William Benjamin Wright, United States Army, Haley Dawn Mackay and two great grandchildren, William Troy Wright and Natalie Claire Wright.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend Terry R. White. Interment with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
