

Harold Edson Hertzfeld Jr., 88, of Greensboro passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, June 15th. Harold was born February 27, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold Edson Hertzfeld, and Georgia Yarick Hertzfeld.
Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dianne Furst Hertzfeld of Greensboro, children Harold Edson Hertzfeld III of Greensboro, NC, Marilyn Hertzfeld of Reidsville, NC, Mark Edward Hertzfeld and wife Sandy of San Antonio, TX and Laura Hertzfeld Katz and husband Dave of Cary, N.C..
He is also survived by three Grandchildren, Mark Edward Hertzfeld II, Edward and Victoria Katz. He is preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Carl Hertzfeld of Pittsburgh, PA.
Harold graduated from Yale University. Over the years, he was a LUMS restaurant owner in Greensboro, and a V.P. of investments at the Greensboro branch of Prudential Securities. He enjoyed playing bridge with the Greensboro bridge club, golf, and watching golden age movies, especially musicals. He loved to cook, and played the piano beautifully. One of his greatest joys later in life was watching and listening to his grandchildren play piano, sing, and perform in theatre and dance.
Harold attended Westminster Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. A private funeral service was held on June 21 at 2 PM at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home in Greensboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
