Harry Bryan Gerock

Mr. Harry Bryan Gerock, 81, a resident of Greensboro died Sunday March 11, 2012. Mr. Gerock was born in Maysville the son of Edward Bryan and Alice Hamilton Gerock. He grew up in Atlantic in Carteret County. He graduated from East Carolina College now East Carolina University. He was a veteran serving in the US Army. Mr. Gerock retired from Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company after over 30 years of service. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing and playing tennis. His talents including making teddy bears, doll furniture, crafts and building beautiful scale model wooden ships. He loved baseball and his granddaughter. On July 19, 1958 he was married to the former Margaret Ann Roberts who preceded him in death on June 20, 2011.

Surviving is his daughter, Patricia Atteberry and husband Larry of Charlotte and his granddaughter, Samantha Atteberry.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Steve Roberts. Interment with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
